GRADUATION GRADING CRITERIA
MSc in Social Sustainability and Welfare Management (LM-87)
The final examination consists of the presentation and discussion before the Degree Committee of a thesis, presented with the discretionary use of audiovisual and/or IT tools.
The final exam is assigned a number of CFUs equal to 15. The final grade, expressed in 100ths with possible honours, is determined with reference to the weighted average of the marks obtained in the examinations taken. In the calculation of the final average, expressed in hundredths, rounding is carried out to the lower unit from 1 to 49 hundredths of a point to the higher unit from 50 to 99 hundredths of a point. On the basis of the dissertation and the outcome of the discussion and having heard the opinions of the supervisor and co-supervisor, the Degree Committee shall decide by majority vote to award up to a maximum of 6 points above the average as determined above. Any honours must be decided upon unanimously by the committee. For higher increases, up to a maximum of 8 points, the thesis must deal with a particularly complex subject, developed by the candidate with characteristics of originality and particular commitment, attested to in writing by the supervisor. The report certifying these characteristics, together with a copy of the thesis, must be sent to the Director of the Department at least one week before the discussion, to give the members of the Degree Committee time to examine it.
The Director shall inform the President of the Degree Committee of the request for an increase in marks, which must be decided by the Committee unanimously.
